September 2009 Researcher of the Month – Lucie Dumais

Lucie Dumais is a Sociologist and political scientist. She has worked in academia for 20-years in both Ontario and Quebec. Her current research includes evaluative studies on disability and immigration (in Quebec and in Canada) with special attention to social enterprises and employment supports for disabled people and immigrants, as well as comparative studies of policies and programmes.


Research Topics:

  • Occupational health, work organizations, and social policy
  • Interdisciplinary settings, university-community partnerships (with unions and community groups), evaluation methods.
